Speaker Spotlight: Carolyn Westhoff, MD, MSc
We are excited to host Carolyn Westhoff, MD, MSc, as a plenary lecture speaker at the ASRM 2023 Scientific Congress & Expo. She will be sharing Contraception Keynote Lecture: Where Are We Going? Advances in Contraceptive Technology and Access on Tuesday, October 17, 3:30 – 4:15 PM.
This lecture will present technological advances in contraception, including works in progress, and will describe the dramatic changes in access to contraceptive care. At the conclusion of this session participants should be able to describe the rationale for development of methods now in the pipeline and appreciate the state-by-state and public/private differences in contraceptive access.
Dr. Carolyn Westhoff is the Sarah Billinghurst Solomon Professor of Reproductive Health at the Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons and Professor of Epidemiology and of Population and Family Health at the Mailman School of Public Health. She directed the NYP Title X-funded family planning clinic for 20 years and spent ten years working with the NYC DOH on introducing contraceptive care into the city’s school-based clinics. She chaired Planned Parenthood’s National Medical Committee, worked on developing NQF-endorsed contraceptive performance measures, and collaborated with the CDC and WHO on the Medical Eligibility Criteria (MEC) and Selected Practice Guidelines for contraceptive use. She is the CUIMC Principal Investigator of the NICHD Contraceptive Trials Network. Dr. Westhoff is also Editor-in-Chief of the journal Contraception and a member of the National Academy of Medicine.

- Learn tips, tricks, trends, and best practices from leaders in the reproductive medicine social media space.
- Hear from patients and patient advocates about how you can best engage your existing and potential patients on social media.
- Practice creating a variety of posts for every social media platform with help from our amazing panel of speakers.
- Learn how to use your voice to make the most out of advocating on social media.

Please note that there is no on-site registration for this event. Add the Social Media Summit to your ASRM 2023 Scientific Congress & Expo registration. Early bird pricing is $25, and late registration is $50. Registrants must choose their break-out session preference during registration.

CAMP ASRM Returns!
Camp ASRM is a childcare service offered Sunday, October 15 through Wednesday, October 18 in the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, the headquarters hotel for ASRM 2023. Activities include age-appropriate themes, arts and crafts, group games, music and movement, board games, story time, dramatic play, etc. Snacks, lunch, and water will be provided. Registration is open for full and half-day sessions!
