Meet Samantha Pfeifer, MD

Samantha Pfeifer, MDMeet Samantha Pfeifer, MD, an Associate Professor of Clinical Reproductive Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medical College. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she was faculty until coming to Weill Cornell in 2013. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.  Dr. Pfeifer’s clinical and research interests are in Mullerian anomalies, reproductive surgery, and female infertility and fertility preservation.  She is recognized as an expert in the surgical correction of Mullerian anomalies. She has held numerous positions within ASRM including Member of the ASRM Board of Directors, the Publications Committee, President of the Society of Reproductive Surgeons (SRS), and Chair of the ASRM Practice Committee, publishing over 60 guidelines and opinions in the area of reproductive medicine. She has published peer reviewed articles and chapters on topics in reproductive medicine and surgery and has served as an invited speaker at numerous meetings and courses in Europe, Asia and North America.

Don’t miss her SRS Keynote Lecture titled MAC 2021 and Management of Mullerian Anomalies on Tuesday, October 22, 1:30 – 2:15 PM. The session will review the new ASRM Mullerian Anomalies Classification. The interactive Tool including the educational elements and comparative options to ascertain the correct diagnosis will be discussed. Planned updates for Version 2 will be reviewed. Surgical decision making and management of routine and complex anomalies will be reviewed with focus on fertility sparing options discussed.
