The ASRM President’s Gala is a fundraising dinner to support the ASRM Research Institute. At 6:00pm the evening begins with a cocktail reception featuring an open bar and live music. At 7:00pm, guests are seated for a formal dinner featuring New Orleans style cuisine. ASRM President Dr. Michael Thomas will present the Humanism in Medicine award and the Lifetime Achievement award. During the dessert course, we will auction off fabulous travel and resort packages to benefit the ASRM Research Institute. This is a black-tie optional or Mardi-Gras attire event, so feel free to get as dressy and as colorful as you like.
ASRM does not furnish Congress attendee lists to solicitors for re-sale and will never allow third-party vendors access to your information. Any solicitations received via email to purchase an attendee list are fraudulent. If you receive any solicitations related to the sale or distribution of information pertaining to our registrants, please notify Lee Pearce at lpearce@asrm.org or 205-978-5010.

What is the Abstract Submission Process?
The ASRM 2023 Call for Abstracts has all abstract details and guidelines. Please refer to this document for details about the ASRM abstract process.
How do I submit an abstract?
A link to the submission site is available on this page: https://asrmcongress.org/presenters/. ASRM 2023 abstract submission is open February 15, 2023, and closes April 26, 2023. No extensions to this deadline can be made.
What is the maximum number of authors allowed on an abstract?
ASRM only allows 25 co-authors per abstract.
How do I make edits to my existing abstract?
Edits to abstracts can be made once submission opens on February 15, 2023 through close of submission on Wednesday, April 26,2023. You should follow the link in your emails you receive from the submission system to access your abstracts for edits.
Are there changes to the Abstract Submission Process this year?
Changes to be aware of:
- Topic categories and subcategories have changed. Please choose the category and subcategory that BEST represents your abstract topic.
To view the list click here. - SUBMISSION CHANGES: ASRM now requires all authors (presenting and co-authors) to login with an ASRM account id & password to
access the submission and disclosure process. To prevent any delay in accessing the system, all abstract co-authors are encouraged to
create an ASRM account before attempting to submit. You can setup an ASRM account anytime online here. - The last day to withdraw without penalty has been moved up and is June 19th, 2023.

Does ASRM have a Late-breaking abstract submission period?
No! ASRM will NOT have a late-breaking abstract submission cycle for the ASRM 2023 meeting.
When will I receive notification that my abstract is accepted or rejected?
Notifications regarding acceptance/rejection will be emailed to the presenting author ONLY beginning no later than June 2, 2023, to the email address listed in the Online Abstract Submitter. The presenting author should contact all co-authors for status updates. If the presenting author does not receive notification of the status of your abstract by June 7th, 2023, please call Technical Support at +1 (401) 334-0220 or email technical support at asrm@confex.com.
Should abstract presenters (poster or oral) register themselves for the ASRM 2023 Scientific Congress?
Yes! If you receive a letter of acceptance for your abstract for oral or poster presentation, you will be required to attend the ASRM 2022 Scientific Congress and Expo to present. You must register yourself for the meeting even though you are a program participant. No discounts are offered to abstract presenters. Does ASRM provide a certificate of presentation?
No! ASRM does not provide a certificate of presentation for speakers or abstract presenters.
I need a letter of invitation to submit with my VISA application. Where do I get this?
You can find the letter of agreement online here. This letter does not imply any financial support by ASRM.
